Jim was a man of many talents, as Rick Stock indicates......Jim Boggio helped us immensely as we were making the transition from rock band to cabaret show band (1967-68). Many nights, after our show, we’d stay up till the wee small hours analyzing the performance and bouncing comedy back and forth. Jim coached us with our comedy delivery and provided some great ideas for new material. When I left the band in 1982 he was the obvious choice to replace me. Don Poetz (keyboards) had also left, so Jim came onboard initially to play keyboards, but he also played trumpet, saxophone, accordion, kazoo, comb & paper, armpit etc. You name it, he played it! Jimmy also covered the comedy as only he could - he was a true comic genius... In fact Jim was one of the best accordion players in the country and helped launch the Cotati Accordion Festival.
