WELCOME TO THE OLD WILD MEN WEBSITE!

Old Wild Men is dedicated to the unsung heroes of rock & roll. The purpose of the website is to capture and display the images and stories of amateur and semi-pro bands, groups and combos from the 1960's and 1970's.

With photos and comments from the band members themselves, the aim is to present an affectionate and humourous pictorial history.

News
Neil Burman aka Nick Kersov contacted us with news of a new album from the Blue Diamonds. Check it out in the gallery.

Rick Stock of the Lelands sent me some photos of the Hawaiian Shadows, the band that eventually morphed into the Leland Four and the Lelands. Take a look in the Lelands gallery.

Dean Jackson & The Fireballs are the latest band to join the Old Wild Men ranks.

We have another Old Wild Men Reunion! Peter Place contacted his old school friend John Haram of The Zephyrs after finding him on this site. They had not been in touch since 1963!

The Blue Dukes are the latest addition to Old Wild Men. Victor McCullough would love to track down any of his old bandmates so check out the band's details and see if you know any of those guys.

Author Damian Jones, who is writing a book on the 60s British Mod Scene, recently contacted us. Damian interviewed guys from several Old Wild Men bands about their memories of those days. We will post details about Damian's book when it has been published.

If you're serving in the RAF I guess there are worse places to be posted to than Hawaii! That's just a small part of Rick Stock's fascinating story. The Leland Four and the Lelands have such a storied history from 1965 to the present day that we have decided to give them their own gallery!
